A History of Black-Footed Ferrets

Thought to be extinct only a few decades ago, a small colony of black-footed ferrets was discovered near Meeteetse, Wyoming, in 1981. This video details the history of this species in North America and the exciting discovery that has led to their comeback. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is hosting a celebration of the 30-year anniversary of the ferret rediscovery in Meeteetse Sept. 24-26.
