Two Methods for Using a Handcard and Diz to Predraft Fibers

Like many spinners, we’ve mainly used handcards to turn short-staple fibers into rolags. As it turns out, they can do much more. Kim McKenna walks you through two brilliant methods for using a handcard and diz to predraft braids and batts. As you load fiber onto your handcard and draw it through the diz, you’ll see how well it loosens and attenuates the fibers into an airy, easy-to-spin sliver.
