Meshuggah - Bleed - Dark Synth Cover

Around new year’s 2020 I got this idea of sequencing Bleed into synths and drum machines. I started by programming the whole thing in midi and getting a few drafts working. as it was all very repetitive I began adding a few “humanized parts“ to it and exploring tiny little sound changes. As I got more confident, I added a few drum parts and tried to the best my ability to do as much as I could playing the synths. The prophet receive an abusive amount of percussive hits. I also was quite happy with the versatility of the matrixbrute and the sequencer - such a beautiful piece of synth. lastly the voice - I had to do something, but drift apart from the original. I tried a few harmonies first but it didn’t sound well, so I settled for the vocoder and added a voice line on top of it. This was such a cool effort, and fair play to meshuggah for writing such a magnificent track.
