The Braemar Gathering (1932)

Full title reads: “Scotland. The Braemar Gathering. The Duke & Duchess of York - and the little Princesses - attend most famous of all Highland Games. Bad weather prevented the King & Queen attending.“ Braemar, Scotland. Prince Albert, Duke of York (later King George VI) and Duchess of York (later Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother) get out of a car. With them is Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II). A man steps forward with an umbrella to protect them from the rain. The are greeted by various Highland dignitaries. The Duke and several of the other men are wearing kilts. They walk into a building. A nanny carries Princess Margaret Rose from the car. A bagpipe band march past a covered saluting base. The men following them are carrying halberds. Shots of the crowds, most of whom are carrying umbrellas. The band and men march around the arena. More highland types march around the arena - some athletics events are happening in the middle.
