Eduardo Sainz de la Maza (1903-1982).
Here is a beautiful tremolo piece by the Spanish composer Eduardo Sainz de la Maza. The title translates to “The Bells of Dawn“, which you hear during the harmonics section at the open and close.
Eduardo was the brother of Regino Sainz de la Maza, who was also a composer and most famously the dedicatee of Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez.
Eduardo’s output was modest, but very beautiful nonetheless. To explore his works further, I would recommend José Antonio Escobar’s CD -
Guitar by Jeff Sigurdson.
