Here is an epic 4-part solo trading between the Brecker Brothers, Barry Finnerty and George Whitty on the Brecker Brothers tune “Sponge“, from live at the Mt. Fuji Festival in Japan. Transcription for the Trumpet and Tenor sax are in Bb transposition and as you would read it on the concerning octaves (you(ll notice that when Michael Brecker takes over the solo of Randy, he uses the note Randy ended with in the same octave but it’s notated an actave higher).
