Road To Nowhere - Talking Heads (Acoustic Cover by Dante Mazzetti)

How many musicians can you fit on a balcony? My friend Joe came over with a few musicians who had just flown in from Arizona. We wondered if my balcony would hold us all for a live stream. It was a tight fit and we had never played together before, but it this was so much fun. Here’s one of the songs we played that night. I hope you dig this acoustic cover of Talking Heads’ “Road To Nowhere.“ This was recorded as part of my Facebook Live Stream Series “My Corner of New York.“ Trombone: Nicho White Gold Drums: Jason Rivera Upright Bass: Smokin’ Joe Haines Guitar: Dante Mazzetti 📖 ABOUT ME I never could pick just one path in life so I’m a singer-songwriter AND a New York City Firefighter. I play pretty much all the instruments on my tracks and I release a new original song every 6 weeks. The best way to get to know me is through my music. LYRICS Well, we know where we’re goin’ But we don’t know where we’ve been And we know what we’re knowin’ But we can’t say what we’ve seen And we’re not little children And we know what we want And the future is certain Give us time to work it out We’re on a road to nowhere Come on inside Takin’ that ride to nowhere We’ll take that ride I’m feelin’ okay this mornin’ And you know We’re on a road to paradise Here we go, here we go We’re on a ride to nowhere Come on inside Takin’ that ride to nowhere We’ll take that ride Maybe you wonder where you are I don’t care Here is where time is on our side Take you there, take you there We’re on a road to nowhere We’re on a road to nowhere We’re on a road to nowhere There’s a city in my mind Come along and take that ride And it’s all right, baby it’s all right And it’s very far away But it’s growing day by day And it’s all right, baby it’s all right Would you like to come along? And you could help me sing this song And it’s all right, baby it’s all right They can tell you what to do But they’ll make a fool of you And it’s all right, baby it’s all right There’s a city in my mind Come along and take that ride And it’s all right, baby it’s all right And it’s very far away But it’s growing day by day And it’s all right, baby it’s all right Would you like to come along? You could help me sing this song And it’s all right, baby it’s all right They can tell you what to do But they’ll make a fool of you And it’s all right, baby it’s all right We’re on a road to nowhere We’re on a road to nowhere We’re on a road to nowhere We’re on a road to nowhere Related to: folk, indie folk, alternative indie folk, acoustic, live, singer songwriter, acoustic guitar, folk music, Bob Dylan, Gregory Alan Isakov, Leonard Cohen, Avett Brothers, Bruce Springsteen, Tallest Man on Earth, americana, alt country, folk rock, alt folk
