LIBERA SCIENTIA - Fantasy (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Fantasy is the first piece of music I have released in a long time. This track came together whilst trying to write a synthwave track as background music for my streams, but ended up morphing into a cyberpunk-meets-metalcore kind of thing. I was super happy with how it came out but I felt it doesn’t necessarily sit alongside the material for the upcoming album (especially with the sampled vocals) so I decided to release it for you folks to enjoy. Since the song uses some chopped up and re-arranged vocal samples, I loved the idea of creating a story that twists the original intended meaning of the lyrics. So I put together a music video that tells the story of a woman who tragically lost the love of her life and couldn’t be without him, so she has recreated his likeness and personality in an AI virtual reality simulation. She slowly realizes the damage this is doing to both her, and the confusion and pain she is causing the AI version of her love, so she comes to terms with cutting contact with him.
