Clashes at UCLA as Pro-Palestinian Encampment Declared Unlawful

Clashes broke out at UCLA early Wednesday at a pro-Palestinian encampment after police responded to a request for help after the university declared the encampment unlawful, according to the Los Angeles Times. The newspaper said that a group of counter-demonstrators tried to tear down the barricades surrounding the protest area, and later pro-Palestinian protesters used pepper spray to defend themselves.
