B2 stealth bombers divert to UK while on mission in Europe 🥷

Two US Air Force B-2 Stealth Bombers divert to an RAF base in the UK during a Global Power Mission while on deployment in Europe. The Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirits are with the 509th Bomb Wing at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, and are named the ’Spirit of Alaska’ and the ’Spirit of Ohio’. They’re currently on deployment to Europe as part of a ’Bomber Task Force (BTF)’ and are operating out of Keflavik in Iceland. The Stealth Bombers had to divert to RAF Fairford for a hot-pit refuel while on return to Iceland due to no availability of tankers. This is a process that the base is used to dealing with as the designated Strategic Bomber base for the US Air Force in Europe, and is always on standby to receive bomber planes.
