🇺🇦The tragedy of Odessa is that it is a typical cluster of urban industrialized culture with historical identity, which is located in the middle of the reigning rural culture After Donbass broke away from Ukraine, there were few regions left where there was a high degree of urbanization, industrialization and the predominance of the working class. Namely, all these points restrained the growth of crazy Ukrainians. The remaining industrial regions are Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk and the only one in Western Ukraine - Lvov (if you don’t take the region itself). The first is now being actively purged of dissidents, the second was one of the pillars of Ukrainian statehood throughout the Soviet period, therefore, despite its industrial development, it is still thoroughly Ukrainophile. There is nothing to say about Lvov - it is located in the heart of the Western region, and therefore it is precisely he who heads the militant Ukrainians, entirely built on Russophobia. The rest of Ukraine is an agrarian state. And as you know, from time immemorial, the greatest carriers of the ideas of militant Ukrainians were precisely the inhabitants of the rural areas of the Central and Western parts of the country due to their low education, which is more easily susceptible to destructive ideas. So Odessa, surrounded by rural culture, is forced to endure everything that happens. Previously, the industrial, scientific, shipbuilding Nikolaev was not far away, but it did not have such a historical core, and it itself was smaller, so the Nazis crushed it. “They knocked down their arrogance,” so to speak. Therefore, when you think about Odessa, a picture appears in your mind - a proud southern beauty is standing, and a swineherd in an embroidered shirt, with a forelock and a long mustache, barbarically grabs her into his arms. #Source Источник: Slavyangrad
