Hundreds Stranded In Indian Flooding India’s Tamil Nadu state has been paralyzed by severe flooding that has left roads and rail connections inaccessible after 20 times the average volume of rain fell between Sunday and Monday. At least five people were reported dead by local media, while entire neighborhoods remained submerged on Tuesday, with the weather forecast predicting more rainfall later in the day. Around 500 passengers spent 36 hours stranded after the floods forced their train to the state capital, Chennai, to be terminated.
