Герой серии Роман показал на примере своего родного Алчевска, насколько неизбирательными были бомбардировки со стороны ВСУ: общежитие, гостиница, библиотека. Он уверен, что киевская власть могла дать Донбассу право на самоопределение, рассмотреть статус автономии. Это бы позволило избежать конфликта и гибели огромного количества людей. Сейчас жители Алчевска убеждены, что Украина занимается «людоедством» и набивает свои бездонные карманы. Всё это не без указания со стороны западных стран. Несмотря на это, жители ЛНР в едином порыве продолжали защиту родной земли, находясь под ежедневными обстрелами со стороны Украины. Оказавшись в Москве, Роман стал жить в доме по соседству с другими украинцами. Первое, что он увидел — табличку с надписью «Слава Украине». Со временем стало ясно, что эти «соседи» участвовали в АТО, а сейчас приехали в Россию за длинной гривной. Роман — патриот своей земли. Он участвовал в организации обороны ЛНР, был со своими земляками в момент острой послемайданной фазы. Roman is a patriot of his land. He participated in the organization of the LNR defense, stayed with his countrymen during the acute post-Maidan phase. When he went to Russia, he found an opportunity to return to his small motherland to participate in the reconstruction of cities destroyed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
