Interior Covering With Oratex

In this video we show covering the interior of our Bearhawk Model Five with Oratex. We liked the idea of using something light, easy to install, easy to repair, and tough, to withstand years of abuse in the cargo area. We also thought it was a good opportunity to get more familiar with Oratex before deciding what to use on the exterior. FYI - The iron recommended by Better Aircraft Fabric is in Celsius and the heat gun they recommend is in Fahrenheit. This is why I flip back and forth when noting the temperatures I’m using, it’s not to annoy you. That’s what the music is for. Thanks for watching! 0:00 - Overview 1:45 - Laying out the left side 2:40 - Marking where to glue and preparing the surfaces 3:14 - Applying the Oratex hot melt glue 4:28 - Tacking the Oratex fabric in place 6:00 - Taping the seam and slit 7:16 - Right side 8:14 - Setting the Oratex hot melt glue 9:08 - Shrinking the Oratex 9:59 - Final pass with the iron
