Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze (with “OUTSIDE“ notes)

This is a performance from my video lesson, ’Master The Symmetrical Diminished Scale (Whole Half & Half Whole)’. In this guitar solo, I use the chord changes of Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix to demonstrate ’outside’ sounding phrases using the Symmetrical Diminished scale. The Half Whole Diminished scale works great to add tension to your phrases, especially over Purple Haze because of the ’Hendrix chord’ within the harmony.
