FOR SCREENINGS PLEASE CONTACT In 2016 the team of Planetpics Media House has won at ​MIXAR AWARDS 2016​ in the ​Best 360​-Video category for its science-statement movie “​the Journey of a Diamond“ (commissioned by OJSC Alrosa). The “Mixar Award“ celebrates the highest achievements in virtual and augmented reality in Russia. The award ceremony took place as a part of ​MIXAR VR Film festival​ of spherical movies at ZIL Culture Centre in Moscow. This award is a testimony of a high esteem that the jury gave to the movie. The jury specifically acclaimed technical execution, the precision of stitching, the guided form of artistic narrative and graphics quality in the movie. The documentary takes the audience to the diamond mines of Yakutia at Russia’s Far East. All the stages of diamond mining and production were filmed in 360 for the first time ever! You will descend with the miners deep under the layers of permafrost, ride the underground trolley and witness the minerals being extracted from the ground.
