Highly turbulent vortex street

Another simulation of vortex formation behind an object subject to a sustained flow. Here the obstacle is flat and thin, so it is not profiled to minimize perturbations in the flow. Color brightness indicates velocity, and is normalized for each frame. The playback is in slow motion in order to observ high turbulence behind the plate, real time is 10x faster. Particles are delete as soon as they go out of the domain. Particles are generated while source particles have a density less than their rest density. Rendered with OpenGL.
