Full title reads: “Newcastle-on-Tyne. Each year better than the last! Newcastle students hold ’City to ransom’ & garner record harvest for Hospitals“ Newcastle-on-Tyne, Tyne and Wear. Students in all manner of bizarre fancy dress come running out of building. They are taking part in a rag event. One group of students are dressed as soldiers of the French Foreign Legion. Decorated lorries and floats travel along the road. The students are collecting money from people on the street. They are collecting for charity for the local hospitals.
