Most of this video is in danish, so I am sorry for that! I have tried to make subtitles so that it makes sense. I will explain here what I mean with the cross-training:
So, with crosses, it is important that when you go for the ball that you don’t stand still when you jump and that you jump straight up in the air. This will give the striker the advantage.
- You have to be moving when you are jumping; Meaning that when you jump you should not land at the same place. When you jump, jump with power and a mindset that says “I will dominate my box“.
- Catch the ball at its highest point, extend your arms like in the thumbnail, and MAKE SURE to keep your eyes on the ball at all times to follow through with the catch. This is why many pro’s drop the ball because this is such a “routine“ save and then they remove their eyes from the ball before they have caught the ball. IMPORTANT.
