LIVE: 21st SCO Summit in Dushanbe

The 21st Summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of State takes place in Dushanbe on Friday, September 17, in hybrid format. The leaders of eight countries are expected to discuss the SCO’s past success in security and development of the region, membership expansion and current global and regional issues, with special attention to be given to the Afghanistan crisis. Priority tasks and practical measures for the further development of the SCO, interaction in a wide range of areas, including politics, economy and humanitarian ties are also expected to be on the agenda.
