I believe this to be one of the animals referred to collectively as the “Lake Champlain Monster.“ It was caught by a camera trap in Vermont near Button Bay. Speculation aside, here is one example of the physical evidence which has been accumulating as more investigators aim their (passive) equipment on the lake. Please protect this endangered species.
