C.B. Cochran’s Trocadero Cabaret, London. Extracts from the show “And So We Go On.“ Introductory intertitle reads: “The Bal Masque - shy ladies, dancing feet and dainty dresses of other days.“ M/S of women and man in old fashioned clothes (bloomers and crinolines) performing a dainty dance on a small raised stage. Diners are seen at tables on the lower floor. The dancers then perform between the tables. Unusual high angle shot shows the dancers twirling around amidst the diners. Short C/U of a couple at a table. “A contrast - the gliding panther-like steps of Luise Blackburne (figure perfection!)“ The stage curtains are seductively and slowly parted by Luise who then slinks around the stage in a beautiful sequined dancing frock. She does some acrobatic gymnastics and general vogueing.
