Reviewing the 1/18 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham (1982) by BoS Best of Show

Ring the 🔔 to join the notification squad! Ever since I learned of its existence, I had been in search for a BoS Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham for YEARS and missed out on 2022’s dark blue release. So this year I made sure to order it as soon as it became available. The model sold out within 48 hours. I dont know why this particular car is so sought after, because in terms of quality it is mediocre. But I am still glad to finally have mine at MSRP rather than the exorbitant prices these go for from resellers. The Cadillac Fleetwood Broughams were one step above the Sedan deVilles, and 1977 onward a spiritual successor to the discontinued Sixty Specials from the past: Ultra Luxury sedans for the discerning conoisseur, but still made for everyday use compared to the Cadillac Series 75s that really only saw use as chauffeur vehicles for VIPs. But with a Fleetwood Brougham, you, as a normal individual, could partake in American ultra luxury with enough backseat room for the rest of your family. Pros: - subject matter (a malaise era land yacht in 1/18 is a rarity) - front grille - headlight detail - spoke detail on the wire wheels - photoetched branding - bright interior - interior detail (for sealed standards) Cons: - availability - sealed resin - windows are made out of thin foil - no carpeting even at this price point - no seatbelts - the headlights may yellow out over time (I have seen some examples on the internet) - no front steering - no suspension (unlike KK scale) - flat underbody - quality control issues make each model a hit or miss (with almost zero chance at replacement as the model is so hard to find) CREDITS: song: Joell Ortiz Ft.
