The Danny Lipton Trio (1935)

No titles. The Danny Lipton Trio. Pathe Studio, London. Ronald Frankau, in full evening dress, introduces Danny Lipton. Frankau says he taught Danny Lipton all he knows. He takes his jacket off to demonstrate. He does a few clumsy steps and, exhausted, walks off (this is probably from Pathe compilation film). Danny Lipton Trio, Danny and two girls (a blonde and a brunette), dance a rapid tap number. Each of them also does rapid, intricate solos with close shots of feet. Number finishes with Lipton on his knees, jumping a skipping rope held by the two girls. Tune is ’Round About Regent Street’, composers Flanagan & Nichols. Published by L Wright. ’Full use £’ noted on paperwork. Cataloguer’s note: one of these lovely ladies (think it is the brunette) is Betty Clarkson This is duplicate of item in Pathe Sound Pictorial PSP 915 - see separate record for details.
