Printing a reading phrase in green ink using a tabletop press
Because many of you enjoyed one of Howard’s favorite reading expressions in a previous video, Jared decided to letterpress about 40 copies in green rubber base ink using a 3x5 Kelsey Excelsior tabletop printing press. The type is set in 30 point Caslon font. The electrotype of the books was made about 80-90 years ago.
The text reads “You learn to read Then You read to learn.” To all of those out there going back to school, good luck on a new school year!
