Berlin - A Matter of Time (1979)

Another video from “Hollywood Heartbeat“. This one is from my tapes of Dec. 1980 and features a very young Terri Nunn and the band Berlin. I believe that this was recorded at Gazzari’s on the Sunset Strip. Read on for band lineup at that time. Update #1 - From info supplied in the Comments section by Jarren202, the other members of the band at this early stage were Dan van Patten on drums, Jo Julian on keyboards, Chris Valesco on guitar and John Crawford on Bass. If any of these ID’s are wrong, please let me know!. Update #2 - From “drummerdanvanpatten“ June 2012 - “This was video taped at Gazzari’s on Sunset in Hollywood. I had the WORST headache of my life that day. When we took a break, I walked next door to the Roxy and watched Bob Marley and the Wailers do their sound check! What a day!!!!“ Thanks for the info Dan. Update #3 - Sad news to report Van Patten (drummerdanvanpatten) passed away in Belize on July 2, 2013. He’s seen in this clip and was one of the founding members of Berlin. It was always great to see his comments on this page. RIP, Dan. Update #4 - Had to correct myself with recording date of this Hollywood Heartbeat show. I found my original receipt for my Panasonic VHS deck ($1000!!) and I bought it in Dec. of 1980 so this was a Christmas gift to my young self. This show would have been one of the very first things I recorded with the deck and I’m SO glad I kept those tapes. Dave
