Von Hertzen Brothers perform three acoustic songs live from The Blue Forest in Finland. The Story: To coincide with the launch of our 8th studio album, Red Alert in the Blue Forest, we set up a campaign together with the Finnish Natural Heritage Foundation (Luonnonperintösäätiö) to protect a 50-hectare (123-acre) forest in the Loppi area, in Southern Finland. During the campaign, we went to visit the forest many times in order to understand the area better and explore its beautiful diversity. During these visits, we found out that the forest hid many exciting secrets and details within it. There were signs of multiple endangered species. We heard birds that can only be heard in certain kinds of old forests. The lushness was partly so thick it made our investigations almost impossible. The waterfronts and the river crossing the forest were “postcard beautiful.“ It can be duly said that we fell deeply in love with this particular forest, The Blue Forest. On one of these visits, we took some instruments with us and filmed acoustic versions of a few songs from the newly released album.
