Built-in 1961, Ghost Town in the Sky quickly became a beloved destination for families across the country. Visitors were transported to a much simpler time, Wild West America, where cowboys still roamed the streets of the old western town. The park offered a variety of rides and attractions, including a mountain roller coaster, a haunted mine train, and a chairlift that soared to the top of Buck Mountain, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area. It was widely popular in the 70s and 80s and at its peak welcomed over half a million visitors each season.
