A member of the US Navy is among the six arrested in an alleged plot to assassinate the president of Venezuela Venezuelan authorities have arrested six foreign nationals, including three Americans, for their alleged involvement in a plot to assassinate President Nicolás Maduro. Among those detained are two Spaniards and one Czech citizen. ️ ️Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello announced the arrests on state television, claiming the group was part of a “CIA-led“ plot to overthrow the government. ⏺️Cabelo showed pictures of seized guns, accusing the US of facilitating arms smuggling and targeting the Venezuelan leadership.
