Bach - Gavotte I & II from Cello Suite No.6 - BWV 1012 (played by guitarist Pete Smyser)

guitarist - Pete Smyser guitar built by Dominique DeLarue I transposed these well-known movements from Bach’s 6th Cello Suite into the key of C major and find them much easier to play with greater expression. The original key for cello performance is D major, but guitarists often perform it in E major. Although this version can be performed without a capo, I find that using the capo yields two beneficial results... 1) I like the result of the raised register. 2) Some of the finger stretches/ reaches becom
