’God Save the King’ — New Australian Version of the Royal Anthem for King Charles III
The Australian Monarchist League commissioned a new recording of ’God Save the King’ to commemorate the accession of His Majesty Charles III, King of Australia. Believed to be the first of its kind in the world, the recording and production is uniquely Australian and begins with a new fanfare by Australian composer Alexander Voltz.
Performers: Choirs of St John’s Cathedral, Brisbane, directed by Graeme Morton AM; John Coulton Brass (John Coulton & Isabella Geeves, trumpets; Lisa Holownia, horn; Stuart Bent, trombone; Andrew Bell, tuba; Jason Connors, timpani; Zachary Brankovich, snare); Andrej Kouznetsov (organ).
