According to eyewitnesses, Israeli warplanes bombed a military point belonging to Palestinian groups in the west of Gaza City, a military point in Beit Hanoun town and houses and buildings belonging to public institutions in the southern and central parts of Gaza. The targeted points included the office of Yahya al-Sinwar, the Hamas official in Gaza, in the An-Nasr neighbourhood, the Palestinian Stadium, the “Islamic National Bank“ and the “Production Bank“ buildings in Gaza. In the attack, the 14-storey “Watan“ apartment building on Al-Jala Street in the west of Gaza City, including some law offices and offices, was also bombed. The apartment building was destroyed in the attack, while the surrounding buildings were also damaged. This was the second 14-storey apartment building bombed in the attacks. Israeli aircraft also carried out airstrikes on the houses of Hamas Political Bureau Secretary Kemal Abu Awn and Political Bureau members Isam ed-Daalis, Nizar Awadallah, Mahmoud ez-Zahhar and Isam es-Sarraj, one of the leaders of the movement. Israeli Navy forces also intensively bombarded some places close to the Gaza coast. Health sources announced that there were killed and wounded in an attack on a house in Beit Hanoun, but did not give a number. The Israeli army said in a statement on its X social media account that the Navy detected 7 “terrorists“ trying to infiltrate the Zikim coastal area in the south of the country, and that the army and navy aircraft prevented them from infiltrating the settlements. The statement also noted that three headquarters of Hamas, which it uses in its operations against Israel, were targeted.
