A video featuring habitat in a reservoir on the São Francisco River in Bahia, north-east Brazil.
I explored this region with my friend Juliana Leroy, a Brazilian botanist specialising in aquatic plants. You can find videos of her adventures at @caminhosdesconhecidos
In this habitat we found a relatively low diversity of fishes, which is typical of man-made reservoirs where a river has been dammed, but may also be due to the presence of the invasive predatory Peacock Bass.
I hope you enjoy the video!
