One of three numbers by Carl Martin that all use the same basic guitar accompaniment. The other two are “Kid Man Blues“ and “Crow Jane“ (both available on YT).
What’s more, a very similar accompaniment can be heard on Arthur McClain’s “My Baby Got A Yo-Yo“ and Billy Bird’s “Mill Man Blues,“ “Down In The Cemetery“ and “Alabama Blues“ (also on YT) which has led to speculation that there was some connection between the three musicians.
