Blinken in China: The top talking points

He said China and the U.S. should be partners rather than rivals, and they should help each other succeed rather than hurt each other. He expressed hope that the two countries will seek common ground and reserve differences rather than engage in vicious competition. This is Blinken’s second official visit to China in less than a year and comes hours after the U.S. Senate passed a bill to order short-video app TikTok to be divested from its Chinese parent company, ByteDance.
