Russia tries to conceal origins of its FAB glide bomb components

CAR’s investigation in Ukraine has discovered elements of two UMPK modules, revealing their pivotal role in extending the range and precision of Russian general-purpose air-dropped bombs. The control fins are then adjusted to steer the bomb along this trajectory. The UMPK FAB bombs can be programmed to guide the bomb to a specific target location or to follow a pre-defined flight path.
