Assault units of the 299th Guards Airborne Regiment (guards airborne formation from Ivanovo, Yug Group of Forces) improved the situation along the front line, captured and mopped up an AFU stronghold to the west of Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Airborne battalion commander of paratroopers from Yaroslavl with the call sign ’Tayga’ spoke about the progress of the combat mission: ’The first two high-explosive charges thrown inside the dugout stunned the enemy. Then, we offered him to surrender. But the AFU soldiers responded by small-arms fire and started a fight, as a result of which our assault detachments used another high-explosive charge to wipe out the enemy.
