Snake vs Mongoose Final in INDY 1978

Tom “Mongoose“ McEwen upsets Don “The Snake“ Prudhomme in the final to win his first U.S. Nationals title in 1978. This was a very emotional moment for both Tom and Don, as Tom’s son passed away a few weeks prior to the race after a battle with leukemia.
