Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End by The Beatles - OMBFC #398

We’ve now reached the real meat of the medley. This is both the longest and most challenging section across the board in my opinion, and Golden Slumbers features one of Paul’s absolute best vocal performances of his entire Beatles career. When I was younger, I really loved Carry That Weight, but I never realized that it was part of the medley, so I’d whenever I selected it on my iPod and it immediately began with that“BOOOOOY...” it would always throw me for a loop. How can you not just absolutely love the use of the You Never Give Me Your Money leitmotif callback as well??
