In 2014, almost 30 years after the nuclear power plant disaster, Bob Simon went to the Chernobyl exclusion zone to report on the cleanup there. Chernobyl has become a focal point of Russia’s current invasion of Ukraine. “60 Minutes“ is the most successful television broadcast in history.
