Building a Passive Solar Greenhouse (Timelapse)

► Follow us on Instagram: Our Passive Solar Greenhouse was built from August to October 2019. We are located in Upper Austria, near the European Alps, 427m above seelevel. To keep the greenhouse warm in winter and cool in summer we installed a subterranean heating and cooling system. The main building materials are timber and clay. For glazing we used Polycarbonate 25mm. The Greenhouse provides 24m² of growing space and 6m² toolshed. A 65m² pond in front of the greenhouse reflects sunlight into the greenhouse and helps keeping it warm in cold months. Music by Manuel Angerer © Bunte Permakultur – 2020
