Cello mashup of “Power” by Kanye West and the main theme from HBO’s Succession! 💿 Kanye West Cello Medley: 🎞️ More Cello Soundtracks: With the final season of Succession airing on HBO, I felt like it was finally time to record an arrangement of the iconic soundtrack. That foreboding chord progression and the hip-hop influence that Nicholas Britell laced into the main theme are so perfectly evocative of the opulence and corruption that the series explores. When listening back to the main theme and the cello solo in the middle, I was reminded of another song with similar themes and its own gorgeous string parts — of course I’m talking about Kanye West’s “Power,“ the lead single from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
