When will German aviation take off? Ryanair CEO Wilson bashes German aviation costs | DW News
Air travel is enjoying a post-pandemic boom. But you might not get that impression in Germany - with some airports, like Berlin, operating far under capacity. One of Europe’s biggest airlines, Ryanair, has been cutting back services. Eddie Wilson, CEO of the Irish low-cost carrier, tells DW that German airports simply aren’t making enough effort to bring back passengers. Above all, they are too expensive - costing passengers 60 euros just to walk through Frankfurt airport.
