Hum of the Earth | Sound Performance | Liliia Akivenson & Evgenii Savenko

A sound performance based on the joint project that arose from two elements: noise and an anthropological interest in how people react to the spontaneous invasion of «unthinkable sound» into their private and hermetic sound reality. Every audible sound has its own source. But what could we do with the sudden appearance of unfamiliar disturbing noises that persistently change everyday life in the direction of total unrecognition? The mythologeme of the «Hum of the Earth» interests artists from the point of view of interpreting non-everyday noise and its contexts: from subjective-affective to mass-eschatological. This sound performance is a part of the Grounding cultural project. Мифологема «Гул Земли» интересует художников с точки зрения интерпретации небытового шума и его контекстов: от субъективно-аффективного до массово-эсхатологического.
