Bio By She Rox All Female Bands: Toronto, Ontario, based Scarlet Sins began in 2003, but did not solidify the line up until 2007, with the addition of drummer Elie Bertrand. Winning fans over with a mix of hard rock, industrial, and melodic metal, the band had a unique sound that stood them apart from many, combined with vocalist Sylvya’s deep vocal growl and guitarist Cristina’s heavy guitar riffs, they proved their talent is what got them noticed, touring with bands like Motley Crue, Vixen, and legendary metal queen Doro Pesch only furthered their audience. Scarlet Sins released one Ep, and one full length self-titled album in 2007, despite nominations for four Grammy’s in the hard rock division and constant playing in the U.S. the band broke up in 2009 at the height of their success which only left fans wondering why so much potential to take over the hard rock/metal world was cut so short.
Sylvya NuVynska-Vocals, Tanya Nicklaus-Bass, Elie Bertrand-Drums, Cristina Bishop-Guitar.
