Title reads: “British Instructional Films Ltd presents a Classroom Film - Sugarcane Harvest“. Egypt. Egyptian landscape. Sugarcane fields. Men chopping the cane by hand. C/U of them chopping with machete-like tools. Large number of people working in the fields. The leaves are peeled from the canes. Some children work amongst the men. Canes are loaded on to the backs of camels. C/U of a young boy eating sugar cane. We then see him on the back of a mule carrying the cane. A camel trail carrying the cane. Freight train is loaded with the cane and we see it travel along the tracks. End title reads: “The End. A . Film“. Note: British Instructional Films seem to have shot a great deal of material in Egypt and split it between several films.
