Säkkijärven polkka Version 2 - English Subtitles

10,000 views? For Finnish polka? Nice. ***DISCLAIMER*** Unfortunately there’s no “proper“ English translation of this song; I tried my best at translating it though. Säkkijärven polkka is a Finnish folk song. It was used in the Continuation War when the Finnish army marched into Viipuri they found that the Soviet’s had left radio-controlled mines. This song was played for ~1,500 times from September 1941 to February 1942 to jam these mines. Today the song is one of the most famous Finnish folk songs. Also In the early days of Nokia’s mobile phones , Säkkijärven polkka was a popular mobile ringtone. ***I CLAIM NO OWNERSHIP OVER THE MEDIA USED IN THIS VIDEO***
