Unfortunately there’s no “proper“ English translation of this song; I tried my best at translating it though.
Säkkijärven polkka is a Finnish folk song. It was
used in the Continuation War when the Finnish
army marched into Viipuri they found that the
Soviet’s had left radio-controlled mines. This song
was played for ~1,500 times from September 1941
to February 1942 to jam these mines. Today the
song is one of the most famous Finnish folk songs.
Also In the early days of Nokia’s mobile phones , Säkkijärven polkka was a popular mobile ringtone.
