Antonio Sgueglia and Michele Di Filippo begin their musical partnerschip exploring the timbral and expressive possibilities of the guitar as a duo and proposing new repertoire in the guitar scene such as arrangements and new compositions. Michele Di Filippo Born in 1994, Michele Di Filippo studied with guitar luminaries including David Russell, Stefano Palamidessi, Arturo Tallini, Massimo Delle Cese, Andrea Pace and Cristiano Poli Cappelli. Having graduated from the Licinio Refice Conservatoire in Frosinone, he turned to composition, and produced two albums of his own works: ’Il Suono dell’Anima’ (2011) and ’Il Viaggio’ (2013). Michele Di Filippo furthered his compositional studies by taking a diploma in film-music composition at the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome, taught by Gianluca Podio and Silvio Relandini. As a student he gave concerts of his own music at the Parco della Musica and the Teatro Eliseo in Rome. He also studied composition with Antonio D’Antò and having gratuated in composition from the Licinio Refice Conservatoire in Frosinone, producing a guitar concerto, Les Six Reflexions, structured around variations on the pitch of each guitar string. The Cinque Studi da Concerto (2015) for guitar are publischied by Sinfonica, and the Quattro Studi sulle Risonanze (2020) are publisched by Sinfonica Edizioni Musicali. Further guitar pieces of note have included Tribute to Aaron Copland (Da Vinci Publishing), which was performed by the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese at the MusAnima Festival and broadcast on Italian radio Rai Radio 3. Da Vinci Publishing has also released his album dedicated to the music of Roland Dyens, which won critical acclaim from the Sei Corde and DotGuitar jounals. Michele Di Filippo currently pursues a busy career as a composer, arranger and guitarist. Antonio Sgueglia Antonio Sgueglia studied with guitar luminaries including Andrea Pace, Cristiano Poli Cappelli, Giampaolo Bandini, Massimo Delle Cese, Manuel Barrueco. Graduated from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. Antonio Sgueglia is currently a first-level guitar teacher, working as a guitarist.
