How to cut a lion’s nails? Very carefully

This lion got a much-needed manicure at an animal sanctuary in South Africa. The gentle giant, Jubatus, was sedated before a veterinarian clipped his sharp nails, which can grow up to 1-and-a-half inches. Jubatus was bred in captivity for the cub-petting trade, before being rescued by Panthera Africa Big Cat Sanctuary.
