The word “Still“ is one we use quite often, and in this lesson we will go through some of the ways in which we use this word “Still“. Still is a word which has several meanings and functions in different contexts. Here are some of the most common uses of the word “Still“:
1* Adverb of time: “Still“ can be used as an adverb of time to refer to an ongoing situation that continues up to the present moment. For example, “I have been waiting for an hour, and she still hasn’t arrived.“
2* Adverb of degree: “Still“ can also function as an adverb of degree to indicate that a situation or condition is unchanged, despite a change in circumstances. For example, “Despite the rain, the concert was still amazing.“
3* Adjective: “Still“ can be used as an adjective to describe something tha
